Foundation Updates in This Issue

Nominate a Board Candidate

Nominations are now open for the Committer and Sustaining Member representatives on the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors. For the next term (April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016), we are electing two Committer and two Sustaining Member directors. These positions are important; the elected directors are a real asset to the governance of our community.

Nominations close on January 23 and voting begins on February 9. Winners will be announced at the Members Meeting at EclipseCon NA 2015 on Monday, March 9.

To nominate, send email to elections@xxxxxxxxxxx. Self-nominations are encouraged.

2-for-1 in 2015: FOSS4G and EclipseCon

F4G logoThis year, EclipseCon NA 2015 is co-located with the FOSS4G North Americaconference. FOSS4G NA is one of the largest global gatherings focused on open source geospatial software, and brings together developers, users, decision-makers and observers from a broad spectrum of organizations and fields of operation. At FOSS4G, attendees create effective and relevant geospatial products, standards, and protocols.

EclipseCon attendees may partake in all FOSS4G NA content:tutorials, sessions, discussions, the PostgreSQL theme day, and much more! As an EclipseCon attendee, you can take advantage of this great opportunity to make new connections and get inspired with new ideas. Check out the FOSS4G NA program!
