Personally I’d say: Of course Stephan can veto such changes in jdt.core.[..]

Agree to Disagree, Well, when you are a senior developer every one will look at you when taking a decision. But this is a open source project not a private founded project. So there should be a diverse set of people when taking this kind of discussions.

I know stephan will not agree with me. [...]

I think I have not written anything wrong to apologize, I just said my optioning thinking he might not agree with me from the things I read in this thread from him. no hard feelings just an opinion.

I would say it would have been really professional of you Till, if you send me your concerns in a private mail rather than for this whole group :).

Best regards,
Gayan.

You can get an impression of the contribution distribution here: https://github.com/eclipse/eclipse.jdt.core/graphs/contributors
(note that this list only shows commits that can be linked to github accounts, so it is not complete, but I think all active committer should be included.)

And let me tell you, If you take into account quality and complexity of contributions, he is even more outstanding than the list suggests.

In my experience, everything Stephan writes is very well founded and researched and he is also very polite and reads very precisely what others wrote before answering.

Please relate that against what you wrote yourself after above sentence.  (To put it more bluntly: I think you should apologize to him.)
