Hi Christoph,
The letter of intent was asked for by Gunnar, Alin (not Alan) just
created it as a response to his request.
In the end, I believe I mixed up the "ASF project emeritus" semantics
here, where an "ASF project emeritus" can be reactivated by a project
PMC vote :(
And yes, I agree, Alin will need to "reboot" himself with contributions.
