I was not aware of this. We talked about the dependency but I don't  
recall explicitly allowing the use of the embedder as a pre-req.

Our automated ip log doesn't show any:
http://www.eclipse.org/projects/ip_log.php?projectid=technology.iam
(After Third Party Code it shows "No pre-req dependencies").

And yes, we need an exempt pre-req, understanding that full ip review  
of the embedder is "impractical" (the embedder is still under  
development, some of its components have unclear IP issues and the  
lack of permission to use it is stopping the IAM project).

Yes, this component is critical for Eclipse IAM.
