Isn't it the intention to keep the licenses as they
are for the different repositories? I agree with Ed that dual
licensing would be a tad much for examples.
The project can manage repositories that have different
licenses.
The license listed on the PMI page is
BSD Zero which removes clauses that were required under
the original contribution license, EDL. Is the goal to
dual-license all the content? If so, what would the point
be since any user would almost certainly opt for the zero
clause option. I'd previously objected to changing the
license of material that was contributed by Oracle. If new
content were to be generated under BSD Zero, that would be
okay with us, but monitoring this could become
challenging.

Dear PMC,
as you may be aware Jakarta
EE Platform specification project since its
creation, contained Jakarta EE Tutorial
repository as well as Jakarta
EE Tutorial Examples repository .
It has been discussed and agreed on within
Jakarta EE Plaform call, Specification CMTE call,
also at the Marketing call, that this needs to be
changed, as the Tutorial and the Tutorial Examples
are not specifications and do not need to follow
JESP as process for its development.
The license (EDL v1.0, BSD-3-Clause) of this
project is adequate already for the examples so I
believe no change is being requested or needed.
There is a need for creation of the new project
that will host Jakarta EE Tutorial repository.
The proposal for Eclipse
Documentation for Jakarta EE has been
created to do so with Eclipse Public License 2.0.
