|Re: [ecf-dev] proposal: ECF 3.7|
Hi Folks,Any comments from committers or contributors about this? Any other work that's been going on that could/would be added to this list?
After looking at the Kepler SR1 release schedule , I sent a note to Wayne Beaton asking if there was sufficient time to have a release review (for ECF 3.7) prior to about 9/9.
But are there other committers able to work on ECF during latter half of August? I'll probably need some help with review materials creation, and I will certainly need some help with releng/build changes to support bug below, as well as the timeservice examples additions.

Hi Folks, Proposal for general discussion: ECF releases 3.7.0 in September 2013.What would this minor release consist of you say? Well, here's what I know about:1) New bundle/API: org.eclipse.ecf.remoteservice.servlet 2) A number of bug fixes/robustness improvements in remote services...e.g. 3) New 'timeservice' OSGi remote services example...along with custom rest-based provider 4) I believe Markus has been working with dnssd discovery provider, so that could be included as well 5) Any other things that committers and/or contributors have been working onAlso...we've been requested to use a more recent version of httpcomponents so that only one version appears in the luna repo. This is not a lot of work (IP requests, small changes to our build, testing), but since we need to do release builds...In any event...comments/thoughts/other things that people either have been working on or would like to get into such a release would be appreciated. I agree the above would not constitute the largest minor release we've done, but I think it does justify a minor release (i.e. review, etc). And having the timing be such that it could be part of Kepler maintenance release wouldn't hurt...in terms of visibility, promotion, etc. Thanks, Scott https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=414086 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=414448 http://www.eclipse.org/community/eclipse_newsletter/2013/july/article3.php and http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/ecf-dev/msg06448.html https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=414591 _______________________________________________ ecf-dev mailing list ecf-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/ecf-dev
