+1 for Tycho-1.2 after Photon from my POV.
Whoever needs Java-1.7 support would use Terminal-Photon or older.
If any consumers disagree please speak up now.
Many thanks, Nick, for driving this! Cheers, Martin

+1
I was not happy making this change for Photon in the last week before RC4, but I am more than happy changing it going forward.
Pydev has a nice bit on its install page that makes it clear which release is the last one you can use if you don't want to keep up with the platform -- a stretch goal could be to have this somewhere -- perhaps in an updated https://www.eclipse.org/tm/downloads.php which sort of has this info already but is quite out of date.
Need to use older Eclipse/Java/PythonIf you need to use an older version of Eclipse/Java/Python, below is the latest PyDev version to be used based on your requisites. - Eclipse 4.5, Java 8: PyDev 5.2.0
- Eclipse 3.8, Java 7: PyDev 4.5.5
- Eclipse 3.x, Java 6: PyDev 2.8.2
- Python 2.5 or older: PyDev 5.5.0
