|Re: [cdt-dev] Breakpoint conference call minutes and actions|
Hi Jonah,I think rescheduling the call is a good idea. I'm on vacation until Monday, May 30 which I wasn't planning at the time of our previous meeting.
Thanks, Mikhail On 24/05/2016 6:31 AM, Jonah Graham wrote:
Hi all, The 24th of May has quickly arrived upon us as we are busy getting CDT 9 ready and EclipseCon France is fast approaching. I am concerned that we didn't announce this meeting beyond the tentative date (no time yet) that people are not ready for it today. Is everyone else with actions from last meeting ready for today or should we reschedule this to the week after the next monthly call, e.g. 14 June? Thoughts? For this effort, we'll resurrect the "Breakpoints working group" wiki that Pawel started a while ago: https://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/BreakpointsWorkingGroup#Minutes We identified 5 high-level requirements that we will focus on: 1- Users have trouble seeing where a breakpoint actually applies (target, thread, core, etc) 2- Users need a good way to control where a breakpoint should apply 3- Need to persist user-configured applicability of breakpoints 4- Need multiple breakpoints at the same location so as to configure each one differently 5- Synchronization with the GDB console should work in all cases The next meeting, tentatively set for May 24th, will focus on different demos that try to address Req #1 above. We also plan on investigating how other IDEs address these requirements. Thanks to the attendees.
