Re: [wtp-dev] [faces-dev] [External] : Re: Regarding using JSF4 in Eclipse

Hi everyone,

As Arjan noted, there is the Eclipse LSP4Jakarta project looking at building a language server for Jakarta EE for enable coding assistance for Jakarta EE APIs for multiple IDEs (where LSP is supported).

Everyone is welcome to participate and contribute.

Thank you.

You can clone the repository for the current Eclipse JSF tooling from https://git.eclipse.org/r/jsf/webtools.jsf.git . WTP currently uses Gerrit. There are some geenral hints at https://wiki.eclipse.org/Gerrit#Enabling_Gerrit_for_your_Eclipse.org_Project .

You can find a web view for the rest of the WTP repositories via https://git.eclipse.org/c/?q=webtools . If you need to change other parts of WTP, you can find the clone URLs at the bottom of the page after selecting a single repository.

Kind regards,

Erik Brangs

I know it sounds weird, but Eclipse is obviously just an open source foundation. So, Eclipse supporting Eclipse itself is not necessarily a given because of the broad range of projects they host.

In case anyone is interested, the JBoss Tools' issue about the deprecation is https://issues.redhat.com/projects/JBIDE/issues/JBIDE-28678 <https://issues.redhat.com/projects/JBIDE/issues/JBIDE-28678> .
