Re: [udig-users] uDig & https

Hello.

Like that, but you should use the hostname/domain as in the ssl- certificate. If you have a valid certificate for "localhost", then I guess the address is just fine.

  Hello,

Thank you for the information. When uDig asks for the URL of the WMS, I specify something like this:

  https://localhost:443/geoserver/wms

  Is it right?

Anyway, now that I know that uDig is able to handle "https" connections, I will go on trying it.

  Hi,

I'm using basic authentication with geoserver. It works fine with uDig. I have also tried to enable "https" but it seems that uDig doesn't manage to connect to the server. Anyway I'm not sure because I'm a newbie in the GIS world. Is uDig able to use "https"?

Just in case uDig were not able to establish https connections, what is the best the way to implement this capabilitiy? (as a plugin, a patch).

  Regards,

  Antonio
