Please use 'G' (major green) to indicate a normal green light. The 'g' state (minor green) is only used to indicate green for vehicles that must still respect foe vehicles.
In your case that would be right-turning traffic which has to yield for oncoming traffic.

What I am doing is to modify the duration of the phases in runtime. So I am extending for another second the Green Phase, and checking it every second until certain criteria are met.
If I do not do this, the behaviour from the previous e-mail does not occur.

Could it be that, as vehicles have more time to go through, and it might stop as it could crash with the vehicle coming from the other direction?

Hard to tell. Possibly a mis-configured junction logic. It could also be a left-hand traffic bug (most of the tests are for right-hand traffic).

The vehicle coming from the West to turn south is stopping and then the vehicles coming from the East side stop.
Why is the vehicle(West) stopping in the first place?

I am checking if the remaining time is less than certain number(5) it will increase the phase time by one.
But vehicles with green light will not move.
