[eclipse.org-planning-council] Tedious to get all of this stuff into a Galileo build

FWIW, this comment was left on my recent blog post[1] about the SWT/Cocoa port:
Thanks, Wayne, I’m attempting to do just that with our Eclipse application. It’s really become much harder than before for us, though, since the community has done such as brilliant job with adding more and more useful projects that we’re building on for our applications. We have been indelibly dependent on EMF, GEF, GMF, and WTP. Unfortunately for us, it is really tedious to get all of this stuff into a Galileo build to allow us to build and run our application. Just today alone I’ve spent hours chasing down update sites for milestone releases that have no consistent URL address scheme really. The last Eclipse Modeling Tools integrated build (M7) was totally botched and a bug opened on it, and there is no such product release yet for RC1, so I’m having to cobble this together hour by tedious hour. These projects are each individually totally cool and great, but collectively they are a huge pain to consume. (Wasn’t P2 supposed to help us manage this more easily…?)
