Re: [asciidoc-wg] AsciiDoc Project Initial Contribution IP Clearance

Last week got away from me, so I'm a week behind with my follow-up. The long story short is that we don't yet have a repository to check the code into. I'm working with Eclipse to get this rectified (See https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=22811). We're also planning on folding in the corrections and improvements that have been made since the IC was submitted, which are documented here: https://github.com/asciidoctor/asciidoc-docs/blob/main/CHANGELOG.adoc

> the (AsciiDoc language) docs can now be viewed on the new Asciidoctor docs site at https://docs.asciidoctor.org/asciidoc/latest/

I want to clarify Asciidoctor's role here. While we work to transition the documentation for the AsciiDoc language, we need to ensure continuity of this information for the community. Therefore, until the AsciiDoc language project is in a position to publish the language guide, the Asciidoctor project will serve as the authoritative location (from a user's perspective). It will be up to the Asciidoctor language project to keep changes in sync during this period.

Further information about the AsciiDoc language project and the development process should be shared/discussed on the asciidoc-lang-dev list (https://accounts.eclipse.org/mailing-list/asciidoc-lang-dev), so be sure to subscribe.

Best Regards,

-Dan
