I suppose my only response to this is that I do not see a server "supporting" a missing facet as a "bug in the code", If that involves "a dozen extensions" referencing the missing facet, I still don't see that as a "bug in the code". I see that as supporting something that's not currently present. You still support it, if it's present, but it's not present, so there's no bug.
I admit I was not thinking of the situation where a *project* contains a missing facet. I was focusing primarily on the server supporting the missing facet. Sorry for any noise. Konstantin is right. I dont' know at all how a project having a missing facet should be handled and I hope this situation can be remedied so that adopters are not troubled.
But if it turns out that most of the error messages are for the server supporting the missing facet, I stick by my opinion that that error message should be downgraded to trace. For the case of a project supporting the missing facet, I don't have a response on how to handle that.
