Please pardon the re-send. I wasn't
subscribed to the udig lists with this email address yet.
Kind regards,

Frank,
For what it's worth, the two board-sanctioned & fully
supported options currently are bugzilla & Github issues.
For these, Foundation staff will make sure data is backed up and
can be restored in the unlikely event of an problem.
If uDig is willing to take a calculated risk, it can use the
LocationTech JIRA instance and work with us to help ensure it's
a supported option in time. We do have the blessing to give it a
try for a limited number of projects. A successful proof of
concept may help it become a supported option in time.
Moving off of the OSGeo instance to one of the above 3 is best.
Kind regards,
Andrea

To avoid getting lost and pointing users/developers to
different directions/instances I'd like to start a
discussion here to prepare a decision:
* What would users prefer?
* Any objections with one of the three mentioned options
(github issues, Locationtech bugzilla, OSGeo cloud JIRA)?
@Andrea Does the board already decided to support JIRA for
locationtech projects as well?
* Any wishes?
* Where do we have defined references (uDig itself, udig.refrections.net
websites, locationtech & github wiki, locationtech wiki,
online docs, etc)?
Looking forward for your feedback
