The requirements may change for the 1.2.x release series ...
I think it really depends on what you need to do.
We are installing JGrass-udig on every pc itself and not centralized,
so I can;t tell you if and how that is ok. BTW, since it doesn't need
to be installed with admin rights, it is the less bureaucratic way to
go :)
I would second that; you can reduce this to an unzip and run program; we only have a windows
installer to make people happy :-)
