Re: [tracecompass-dev] Fwd: Fwd: Target Definition Error

Hi Shreyas,

That looks like a network issue on your side, or the Eclipse servers were temporary unavailable ("Network is unreachable"). I can see the update site correctly now from a web browser:

https://download.eclipse.org/linuxtools/update-7.6.0/

Hi,
I got the error related to target definition  when I tried to run a Maven build for the project 'org.eclipse.tracecompass-5.3.0' in the command prompt from the directory where the project is present.

I am using apache-maven-3.6.3

I am using Java 1.8 and Eclipse 4.15.

Kindly help me with this issue.

And also find the error attached.

Thank you.

Warm regards,
Shreyas

Hi Shreyas,

The PTP repository for these older targets was removed at some point earlier this year. We have updated all our targets (including tracecompass-e4.13.target) to use the simrel repository for these required plug-ins.

This was done in master branch [1] and in stable-5.2 branch. If you are using either of these branches, make sure you fetch the latest version from Trace Compass git repository.

If you are using an older stable branch, these have not been updated but you could locally update the target file you are using with the corresponding master branch version of that target file.
