Re: [sumo-user] Error Message: Could not connect to TraCI server

The error corresponds to a time delay between when the server is ready to accept connections and the client requesting to connect. It most cases, the warning (it's not an error in the sumo sense, just a temporary  error on the protocol level) can be safely ignored.

Hello Anna-Lena,

TraCI uses the TCP/IP protocol. Can you check if the Firewall of the Linux server is blockin TraCi?

Betreff: [sumo-user] Error Message: Could not connect to TraCI server

Dear all,

I created a Sumo simulation with some Python code to evaluate an ego vehicle in several scenarios. The code can be executed without any errors on my local PCs (Windows). When running on a high-performance server (Linux), I get this error message at random:

However, there are also runs in which the code succeeds (with the same scenarios and the same seed).

What does this error mean and why does it occur randomly? How can I fix it?

I would very much appreciate any clarifications.

Thanks and best regards,

Anna-Lena
