[sumo-user] How to simulate Connected vehicles in Sumo

Hello 
Is there  a way i can simulate connected vehicles and be able to view the
V2x [V2I and V2V interactions in Sumo. I have checked  VSimRTI  
https://www.dcaiti.tu-berlin.de/research/simulation/ but when downloading it
there were some features that required  a commercial license and when trying
to start visualizer.html it did generate an error. 

So is there a better way of simulating v2x technology [V2V and V2I] for
connected Vehicles with step by step tutorial as I am still a beginner
