Is it possible that the Eclipse folks might consider letting us do this item
as part of an implementation
of WVCM and then contribute it back into Eclipse? Based on my previous
experience in doing
protocol related work, it is much easier to develop when you can control
both ends at the same time.

I had a good look at the Eclipse WebDAV code (but not the sample) and it
looks to be a reasonably complete implementation
of the client side end of the WebDAV protocol, including the DeltaV
extensions.
