I believe this is a strong point. And setting up uucp etc. is lot of
work for so less bang. 

Due to company policies newsgroups are not accessible to me when I am at
a client site, wich is almost every day. Sometimes, while travelling, I
am not able to get unrestricted internet access, i.e. accessing nntp,
for more than a week which makes newsgroups almost useless to me,
because I am never able to track a discussion properly.
