[soa-iwg] Minutes of the SOA Initiative - September 23, 2009

-          Website update

o   Donald to update website later this week based on last weeks feedback

§  Need Oliver to send the getting started materials, early next week is target.

o   “Launch” versus “Create”

§  Unanimous agreement by group to “Create” the working group, but not formally “launch” it with Press/Analyst activities until a later date.

o   Target October 5th to start process for the working group to go from “Proposal” phase to “Implementation”phase.

Agenda

-          Update EPP Package (Zsolt)

-          Discusion on the next website update (my email from last night)

-          Analyst and Press materials

 

Minutes

-          Ian sent feedback for Analyst briefing, and Ricco going to respond with info by week end

o   Confirm is Ian is going to draft press release or if the IWG is blocking progress (?)

-          Appears that SOA Package will be part of SR 1 builds this week – initial testing was successful.  Have not had a final confirmation from EPP that everything is in place, but the SOA-IWG believes it is.

-          Website:

o   Randomize – logos appearing on the page.

o   Getting Started – Webinar for getting started -> Available early next week.  Oliver is recording it this Friday.  May need some text for a getting started, but will start with video and add as needed.

o   SOA – IWG – Forum -> Will hold off having a forum created for now and encourage mailing list use instead.  Forum will be added if we get sufficient number of technical conversations taking place via email.

o   Links on download page for software products – services on community page.
