Re: [science-iwg] Details about the Science Working Group Steering Committee

Thanks Christopher,

I’ve answered from the top of my head below. Please correct me if I’m wrong and elaborate if necessary. Much of this is detailed in the charter.

It would be good to have a page that describes the relationship between the TLP and the Steering Committee. https://science.eclipse.org/steeringcommittee could be updated to include how one becomes a member of the steering committee, who is welcome to attend the calls, the difference between voting and non-voting members and links to the meetings. http://wiki.eclipse.org/Science_WG#Steering_Committee_Meeting_Minutes has some of this, and maybe we can't update https://science.eclipse.org/steeringcommittee because it is auto generated or something and we need to update http://wiki.eclipse.org/Science_WG#Steering_Committee_Meeting_Minutes
Yes, https://science.eclipse.org/steeringcommittee should be updated.

All member representatives and guests. I believe we have agreed to be quite open and pretty much allow anyone to attend. However there might be issues that should be discussed only by the SC members.

Participant and Steering Committee members are voting members. See the charter for the requirements.
I think the only voting we ever had was for electing Chair and Secretary of the Steering Committee.

The charter outlines some of it: https://science.eclipse.org/content/charter. In addition we have the roles of the SC Chair and Secretary: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Science_WG/Steering_Committee_Roles

It should probably go to https://science.eclipse.org. I fixed it.

Best regards,
Torkild
