Re: [iot-wg] Fwd: Integrating Eclipse IoT projects

Hi,

thank you for taking care of the pre-meeting.

Matteo and me will be in Berlin on Thursday evening. However, the flight arrives quite late (20:30). We'll try but probably we'll not be in time to join the dinner.

Cheers,

Stefano

Hi,

We (Glenn and I from Aloxy) would certainly join the dinner and some beers on Thursday evening.
We will be in Berlin at 5.30PM.

Best regards,

Hi,

I am in preparation for our F2F meeting on May 17th 2019 in Berlin.

In order to get access to the WiFi at our premises, I will need a mobile
phone number from you in advance so that I can apply for WiFi access
with our internal IT and have your credentials sent to you via text
message. So, if you are planning to attend and need WiFi, please send me
your phone number via private mail to kai.hudalla at bosch-si.com

On another topic: If you are in Berlin on Thursday afternoon already, we
could have dinner and some beers together. Let me know (via the list) if
this is something you would enjoy so that I can make some arrangements ...

Looking forward to seeing you next week,
Kai

Hi,

as already indicated in previous posts, here's the "official" invite to the
Eclipse IoT Working Group's Integration F2F meeting on Friday, May 17th 2019 at
the Bosch IoT Campus in Berlin.

I will reserve a room so that we can talk about and/or work on stuff that we find
interesting and/or important. There is no fixed agenda (yet), replies to my
previous posts have been sparse. Thus, we are quite flexible and whoever shows up
will have a chance to set the agenda ...

We will start at 9:00 AM with an open end, i.e. we can finish early if all is set
and done (unexpected) but can also talk/work til the evening and then have some
beers in Berlin on a Friday night.

So, if this sounds interesting to you, you are more than welcome to join us.

Here's the full address:

Bosch IoT Campus
Ullsteinstr. 128

Germany

BTW it would be great if you could drop me a line so that I have an estimate of
how many people to expect.

Thanks and cheers,
Kai

BTW, here's an incomplete list of potential agenda items that I can imagine
discussing

- remaining stuff to do for Hono - Kapua integration
- integration of hawkbit with Hono and/or Kapua
- integration of ditto with Kapua
- common deployment model and mechanism, e.g. using Helm to deploy a complete
stack to kubernetes
- align authentication mechanism based on tokens across different components
- a common process for provisioning devices to multiple components

Thanks for your interest in having a F2F :-)

Let's start with trying to fix a date then. BCX is May 13th - 15th, BCW is
May
15th/16th.

For me, the day after BCW would work best, i.e. May 17th 2019. This is a
Friday
and would everybody give the opportunity to stay in Berlin for the week end
and
enjoy the city a little. It would also allow for people to either attend BCX
and/or BCW without too much "hang time" in between.

I would suggest to start 9 AM and finish maybe 4 or 5 PM.

WDYT?

Kai

Kai,

As stated before, we are very much interested in the F2F. Although we are
interested in BCX as well, we are even more interested in the face to face.
Therefore we will only visit the BCX if the F2F is organized. Also, if
another
time is preferred by others who want to join, we would rather have it at
another time with more people than forcing it to be around the BCX/BCW when
less people are able to attend. Nevertheless I think the combination with
BCX/BCW is interesting one.

Dear IoT Working Group members,

as announced earlier this year, we (Bosch) would be happy to host a
face-
to-face
meeting around Bosch Connected World (May 13th - 16th) in Berlin, where
we
could
discuss next steps regarding better integration of Eclipse IoT Projects
with each
other. Depending on the number of people interested, I would need to
make
proper
arrangements for meeting rooms etc.

Thus, I kindly ask everybody interested in attending such a F2F
meeting,
to
indicate so by end of next week (April 19th).

Kai,
I will be in Berlin for BCW, and if my schedule permits I would attend to
represent the EF. Thanks for organizing this.
