Re: [epp-dev] EPP 2026-03 M1

Hi everyone,

The 2026-03 M1 release is now available on the website.

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2026-03/m1

Please note that there is currently an issue with the macOS download links for the following packages:

  • Eclipse IDE for Java and DSL Developers
  • Eclipse IDE for RCP and RAP Developers
  • Eclipse IDE for Eclipse Committers

We are actively investigating the problem and will provide an update as soon as it is resolved.

Best regards,

It's extremely rare that there is actually a problem in EPP itself because most of the EPP stuff is just scaffolding.  So typically the issues are in some other project(s); often someone else's project and hopefully those folks fix those problems.

Yesterday testing the Modeling package I didn't have time to open issues for all the following problems that come up with you open the help system or open the help tab:

I did fix the problems in EMF (and XSD):

https://github.com/eclipse-emf/org.eclipse.emf/commit/12d1a85e8629be68275716be14b9cf37f8023dc7#diff-630dec9eedf748888864d0a402774370446e8510cbcb0716a1f83c0b0da2e8d3

I didn't share the details with the group and actually should have.  The problems are minor and have no visible impact to the end user, other than log entries.  Opening more issues remains on my endless TODO list...

Note that even with a -1, the package will be published nevertheless.
Is there anything special to do in such cases? (apart from fixing the issues as soon as possible)

Liviu
