Re: [epp-dev] EPP 2019-06 RC1 email?

Hi Markus,

Looking through past releases, what I found was the warning on an old Rust Developers link - it reads "This package was not approved due to critical bug(s):  Issue 166"

I was hoping for something similar for C/C++, not a complete removal of the package, but just a "This package was not approved due to critical bug(s): Bug 547894"

Is that still a possibility?

Thanks,
Jonah

Hi Jonah,

thank you for the reminder! I thought I had send the mail to the list, but obviously I didn't.

Your URLs are correct:

- https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2019-06/rc1 is the "official" packages page hosted by the Eclipse Foundation

Am I correct that your -1 means we should ask the webmasters to unpublish the C/C++ package from the above website?

Thanks and regards,
Markus

Hi EPP devs and Markus (assuming this is best directed at you as the author of previous announcements?)

There hasn't been an email for the RC1 EPP. I can see it is built on Jenkins https://ci.eclipse.org/packaging/job/simrel.epp-tycho-build/454/ and it is here https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2019-06/rc1 too.

C/C++ package had a serious bug in it (resolved for RC2). I believe in the past a -1 would have led to something on the download page to warn testers. I don't know if this was -1 or not.

Thanks,
Jonah
