I had a look at this page, I think there is a typo in the second last example, instead of
metadata.repository.factory.order= compositeContent.xml, !
artifact.repository.factory.order= compositeContent.xml, !
it should probably be
metadata.repository.factory.order= compositeContent.xml, !
artifact.repository.factory.order= compositeArtifacts.xml, !
