One nice use case for the synchronize view would be cherry-picking from
Gerrit. The synchronize view could list all pending reviews including
the affected files. On double click a diff would be shown so one could
preview the change. The view could also indicate if the change applies
cleanly or requires a different change before.

You can sort of do this with CVS today, i.e. list all changes in HEAD
which you don't have locally. However, cherry-picking doesn't really
work when you have a file that contains multiple changes because CVS
just gets the whole file.
