Hi -- Roxanne will send an individual email to the people we want to place on the wait list, and she'll follow up with them if slots become available, etc.

We have a status of "waiting list" and sessions with this status don't get auto-emails.

I believe last year we didn't send out auto-declines at all for wait list talks.  Either you or Anne will need to get in touch and confirm they are willing to be on the wait list. This generally means they need to prepare a talk and perhaps not get accepted and therefore not get a conference pass.
