+1. If I couldn't vote on colleague or
team member talks, there would be at least one whole track I couldn't vote
on. I think we all try to be fair and put ourselves in the perspective
of the attendees. There is always a risk of bias, but that's why we have
8 PC members from different backgrounds and in the end it is the average
vote that matters.

I think we agreed everyone
would not vote for their own submissions.  However, I do think it
is important PC members vote for all other submissions. The expectation
is that when you are voting you are trying to put together the best
program for EclipseCon.  You are not voting to try to make sure your
colleagues or team members get a speaking spot.  I trust everyone
will vote regardless of their corporate, team or project affiliations.

Hi,

we are involved ourselves (or our companies) in many Eclipse projects,
shouldn't we have an agreement not voting on submissions coming from our
team / colleagues ?

and timing. Our next call will be on November 26th, at which point our
first round of voting should be done. But of course you already knew that,
because you read the minutes from the call, right?
