San Francisco, CA

 

-Eclipse is hosting a JavaOne party at the ThirstyBear in San Francisco, on Wednesday, May 7, at 7:00 pm – please feel free to invite your customers, users and colleagues

-Please RSVP for the party to JavaOneParty at eclipse dot org

-Eclipse will have a booth at JavaOne and is running a passport game in the exhibit hall

-Attendees will collect stamps at member company booths in a booklet in order to receive a giveaway from Eclipse

-We have increased the giveaways this year from 600 to 750 t-shirts

-All Eclipse members will receive an “Eclipse Foundation Member” tabletop sign the Monday of set-up for the conference

-No press is planned for JavaOne

2. Ganymede Release Activities

-There will be a blogging contest for reviews of Ganymede announced in June

-DemoCamps around the world are being organized during the month of June to show off what people are doing with Eclipse, get feedback and to network

-The theme of the DemoCamps is Ganymede

-Member companies are welcome to organize a DemoCamp in their city – just pick a location (such as an office or pub) and a date in June

-Eclipse will sponsor each DemoCamp for up to $250 USD

-Members can get recognition on the event wiki by sponsoring a DemoCamp in their local area
