+0 on Martin Fowler. I could be convinced.

I'm definitely interested in "Uncle" Bob Martin, but need to think about it a little more. I'm a little concerned that Ward Cunningham could still be seen as an insider. I'm not sure if that's bad or not.
Uncle Bob and Martin Fowler are in the same vein in some aspects. Martin Fowler is really into Modeling and DSLs at the moment.

Uncle Bob's talks lately have been focusing on Software Craftsmanship, Clean Code, and applying good coding principles. He also mixes in Agile topics, in fact gave a good overview of XP and where it is after 10 years.

Agile:

The thing about Uncle Bob, is that agree with him or not, he will give an entertaining presentation, but also one that makes you look critically at your own development practices that you may hold dear.

Some other ideas (not necessarily good, I need to think a little more about some of these): Adele Goldberg, Tim Bray, Harry Shearer. Okay that last one is just plain silly. Or is it?

+1 Tim Bray. Always well thought out discussions and topics.
