It looks like bugzilla does have some patches attached:
  https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=219021#c40
which are reported by users to work against BZ 3.0 / BZ 3.0.2
Would it be acceptable for our webmasters to consider applying such patches
even if not in the offizial bugzilla release? [What version of BZ are we
currently running, BTW?]
I'm really getting hit hard by SPAM since I've got active at Eclipse (currently
around 300 SPAM E-Mails each day). Yes, they can be filtered, but it's not what
I want to use my network bandwidth for. And I believe that hiding E-Mail
addresses for users not logged in would help a lot. Plaintext E-Mail addresses
are one of the reasons why people want to move away from BZ -- see bug 253889.
