| I have compared the new contribution with the one from May 27th and have found 3 code changes in three plugins that *are* affected by the platformContainerFactory in org.eclipse.ecf
 Activator in org.eclipse.ecf.identity
 AbstractRetrieveFileTransfer org.eclipse.ecf.provider.filetransfer

Who do I trust? Now I'm worried.

Is there a bug report backing any of these changes? Why now?

The changes in ECF do not affect the bundles used by the platform. The only reason we have to get a new contirbutuion is because the qualifiers changed. That issue will be addressed in ECF build in the future. This will be the last ECF contribution related to the platform's use.
