Re: [eclipse-mirrors] Size of a full Eclipse mirror?

I am looking at the logs and I am trying to get to the bottom of this one.

Yes, you shouldn't see any of

4.0G ganymede/SR2
9.7G helios/M6
12G helios/RC3
12G helios/RC4
12G helios/M7
12G helios/RC2
64K helios/RC1/pulsar.orig
15G helios/RC1
9.0G helios/M5

Upstream, i.e. at eclipse.org, there is only (!)

9.0G galileo/SR2
9.9G helios/R

and this is a difference of more than 100 GBytes.

@mirrorservice.org: Who can we contact to clean up the above directories?

Hello All,

I suspect that in this case (yes my mirror is also more than 500G) the
problem lies with my upstream mirror. I am using the mirrorservice.org
and i can see the following

/storage/mirrors/eclipse/technology/epp/downloads/release$ du -h galileo/
9.0G galileo/SR2
8.9G galileo/SR1
6.8G galileo/R
25G galileo/
/storage/mirrors/eclipse/technology/epp/downloads/release$ du -h ganymede/
4.0G ganymede/SR2
4.0G ganymede/
/storage/mirrors/eclipse/technology/epp/downloads/release$ du -h helios/
9.7G helios/M6
12G helios/RC3
12G helios/RC4
12G helios/M7
12G helios/RC2
64K helios/RC1/pulsar.orig
15G helios/RC1
9.9G helios/R
9.0G helios/M5
89G helios/

And yes i followed all the suggestions in moving the deletion in front
of the sync and ignoring errors during the process

As far as i can tell something is wrong with mirrorservice.org and
their mirror is not properly cleaned up. In order to remedy the
situation i've moved to another upstream and this prety much rectified
the situation.

We also are facing this problem, in the last month we run out of space
several times.
Now we tried to modify the script in order to "downgrade" our mirror
profile
from the original "full_eclipse".
Anyway we encountered problems in using the script syntax (our Linux is
Ubuntu, can this be a reason for a different syntax?).
Any other have this problem?
How do you changed the script?

Hi,

We're setting up a full Eclipse mirror. We have been rsyncing for quite
some
time and so far we have downloaded 432 GB of data and it seems that
there
is
no end - we are worried that we will run out of disk space before the
initial
rsync completes.

How much data does a full Eclipse mirror currently have? I read
somewhere
that it should be around 350 GB, but we're way beyond that. We have used
script manually for the download as documented.

Any advice or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
