[dsdp-pmc] Backup Rep for the Architecture Council
|
Dear PMC,
I have mentioned before that I want a backup rep on the
Architecture council.
Incidentally I need that backup rep for the AC meeting next
week:
since I will be on vacation that day.
Eric: You don't need to be concerned regarding programming
skills,
these are not strictly needed on the AC. Most of the AC
discussions
actually center around Community development, Process (how
to
best leverage bugzilla etc), project mentoring, and Eclipse
in general.
I have pushed other toplevel projects on the AC in the past
to be sure
and provide backup reps. So I'd hate not having one myself!
The AC
is a great forum for exchanging "what's going on" across
all of Eclipse.
I really want each toplevel project represented
there.
So again, any volunteer please step
forward!
And others, please support any volunteer with your
+1.
Note that the backup rep does not strictly need to be a
voted
PMC member himself. So if there are any lurkers /
listeners
on this mailing list who'd like to have an AC
experience,
please step forward.
Come on, I'm just asking for 1 hour of your time
next Thursday
and you'll have an interesting Eclipse
experience!
Thanks
Martin
Martin,
I don't mind being your backup on the PC. I should
listen in on a few of these so I understand the role. I will have to defer on
the AC role to those who actually write Eclipse code as a part of their day
job.

Hm...
Looks
like we missed that one of Doug's responsibilities.
Volunteers for
representing DSDP on the Planning Council,
Please step forward!
I
could take the job if the PMC wants me to, provided that
somebody else
agrees to be DSDP backup rep on the architecture
council as per my previous
request (for the case that
meetings collide). Of course a backup rep for
the PC would
be good too.
Thanks
Martin

Foundation DB thinks it's Doug Gaff. It looks like
the PMC is going to
have to nominate someone.
