This webinar will demonstrate the
features found in the Eclipse Dynamic Languages Toolkit (DLTK) project
releasing with Europa. DLTK is designed to bring JDT-alike features to the
dynamic languages world. We will provide an overview of code editing, content
assistance, launching, debugging, interactive console, and other instruments
for Ruby and Tcl developers.
An important aspect of dynamic
languages is a static-runtime program structure mismatch, which complicates
runtime model understanding for newbie programmers and for experienced
programmers working on complex projects with a dynamic program structure. This
webinar also will demonstrate unique DLTK Ruby code navigation and search
features based on DLTK's Ruby type inference engine, which helps Ruby
programmers to understand and work on relatively large Ruby codebases such as
Ruby stdlib or the Ruby on Rails project.
