Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Local build jobs pulling Eclipse.org bits from mirrors
|
You guys have any suggestion to improve this process? :)
You can use different protocols for SVN: https://, svn://, file://
https:// is the slowest, and i believe file:// is the fastest.
On Eclipse servers, you can use file:///svnroot/... because the SVN root is mounted on /svnroot
Hi guys,
I just want to check if I understand it correctly:
if I perform an SVN checkout from my trunk, am I pulling the plugins from mirrors, as you said?
On our build process we perform a new checkout each time we build, because we had problems with only updating in the past. When we made this new build process, I searched a little on how to checkout "internally", but I didn't find anything. So, we keep doing our checkouts from URL.
Our build actually takes almost as much time checkouting as building.
You guys have any suggestion to improve this process? :)
