I don't know. AspectJ has a fine model of join points that is more fine
grained than that of Hyper/J. Hyper/J has better mechanisms for the
organization of "aspects", their interoperability, etc. All in all, the
Hyper/J approach is vastly different in philosophy and concepts from an
AspectJ approach.
Depending on what you need to do, it indeed might be the better
solution, but without more information about what you want to do, it's
hard to say.
