Re: [ajdt-dev] Test failures
|
I see the problem now. The launch configuration that is stored in
version control to launch all Core tests includes an experimental
system property:
-Daspectj.minimalModel=true
This property tells the compiler to save memory by purging elements
from the AJ model that are not relevant to any crosscutting
relationships. The NPE you are getting is because an element has been
purged. This is OK because the failing test stresses the algorithm
that converts between JDT elements and AJ elements. With this system
property turned on, many of these elements have been dropped from the
AJ model, but not the JDT model (which is the expected behavior).
With the system property removed, the test passes. I assume that you
are using this launch configuration. So, let me know if changing it
will make the test pass for you.
The correct thing to do here is to force the system property to be off
only for that test.
