Greetings Eclipse VOLTTRON committers!

I just created an issue in the volttron-core repository titled "Engage in the IP Due Diligence process for third party assets".

AFAICT, the Eclipse VOLTTRON project team has not yet engaged in Intellectual Property (IP) Due Diligence. We've provided tools to make checking licences easy, and have an IP Team will do most of the heavy lifting. But we need your help to actually identify the third-party content.

There is more information on the issue.

Our records show that the Eclipse VOLTTRON project is still in the Incubation Phase. I believe that if we can get your team to engage regularly in the IP Due Diligence Process, we can work on moving the project into the Mature Phase.

I'll continue to monitor this thread. Let me know if you have any questions (or you can contact the EMO). Note that we host monthly Committer Office Hours where you can connect with us and others from the community.

Thanks for your attention.
