[udig-users] Data on USB drive

I have all my data on a USB drive and want to keep the project file
there too, but every time I start uDig after shutting down the
computer at the end of the previous day the catalog files appear in
red italics and I have to ad every layer all over again.

I do not see
any way to "save" a project file other than by closing the program and
I don't understand why this should happen or what I can do about it.

Any thoughts?
