Also have a go through walkthrough 1; and download the sample data indicated to see if it works with a different set of shape files.

I have recently upgraded to Version 1.3.1 of uDig, and am suddenly having problems loading SHP files as a layer.
Instead of loading the layer, as previously, an exclamation icon next to the title ânewLayerâ shows up, and nothing is seen in the StyleEditor.
Any help would be appreciated.
