So this is an odd one ... it has been reported several times (on osx) and appears using different symptoms:
- unable to display "bluemarble.tif"
- unable to display postgis (next called before has next() )
While the second of those two issues is marked resolved; the debug hunt did turn up the culprit which is why I can open up a bug report now (I finally have a log to attach).
What appears to happen is that the epsg h2 database fails to unpack; so code that depends on being able to get a CRS.decode operation to work fails.
