Re: [udig-devel] Oracle Spatial connection

Lets try in the new year; instructions on setting up the uDig from svn are located here:

The instructions are currently for trunk; and include one aqward step where you need to unzip some additional imageio-ext jars into the libs directory. Other than that the process seems okay; as far as I know nobody has tried oracle support on trunk yet - the GeoServer community has put a lot of effort into fixes on the library side of things.

One limitation with developing for oracle (on any open source project)
is the availability of developers with oracle installed to test against
- if you are around can
we ask for your help testing the next uDig release (it would be a great
contribution and would help us close oracle bugs, rather than just mark
them as "resolved").
I could try as soon as possible to build a "develop version" from uDig
SVN with eclipse, then i could try to debug...
