I am glad to see you are getting some help; you are correct we have not 
set up a user list yet - our top request coming out of FOSS4G. I am 
waiting for uDig 1.1 - which I expected to release by now (instead I 
find myself improving trunk which is almost more exciting).

Thank you for the suggestion of trying the user name as the default 
SCHEMA for oracle. We should be sure to place that idea into the issue 
tracker.

One limitation with developing for oracle (on any open source project) 
is the availability of developers with oracle installed to test against 
- if you are around can
we ask for your help testing the next uDig release (it would be a great 
contribution and would help us close oracle bugs, rather than just mark 
them as "resolved").
