Re: [udig-devel] Projection WGS 84 as default

I really thank you. It really helps. I did not know that related to the coordinate system properties. And also, my shapefiles are compounded just with .shp, .shx, and .dbf files.

Hi Jose,

Usually this happens only when the shapefile does not have a
projection file associated with it.  You should be able to view the
layer's properties and change the projection on the layer.  Then it
should behave correctly.  Once you have told uDig what the correct
projection for the layer is you can then change the projection for the
map.

Or if you just change the map projection you should be able to press
the zoom to layer button to show the shapefile.
