Re: [udig-devel] Projection WGS 84 as default
|
Hi Jose,
Usually this happens only when the shapefile does not have a
projection file associated with it. You should be able to view the
layer's properties and change the projection on the layer. Then it
should behave correctly. Once you have told uDig what the correct
projection for the layer is you can then change the projection for the
map.
Or if you just change the map projection you should be able to press
the zoom to layer button to show the shapefile.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi everybody,
I am new using uDig and I am having some problems. I am going to
begin with the georeference system. When I start uDig, the interface
opens with the WGS 84 (EPSG:4326) as the default georeference of all
the maps.
I can see any shapefile independiently from the original reference
system that I used to create it. Then if I want to modify the
shapefile and export it into the original georeference (Monte Mario
zona 1, of Gauss Boaga, in my particular case), the resulting
shapefile lies completly out of the region and with diferent
dimensions.
Thank you.
