Re: [technology-pmc] Committer Approval

Regrettably, we cannot approve the election.

That an individual has contributed to another project is not sufficient criteria for nomination to this project. The EDP has no notion of "sister projects".

When you nominate a committer, please provide pointers to specific public contributions that demonstrate that they've built a reputation within the project.

I took a look and it appears that the nominee has made one small contribution to the project code. I didn't observe any activity in the issue tracker or other project discussion forums (but didn't look all that hard).

If the candidate is ready to be a committer, then it should be relatively easy for them to make a few (significant) pull requests that members of the team can merge, and then -- when you rerun this election -- you can cite specific examples of contribution (again, contributions to Eclipse DataGrid don't count).

There's more information in the handbook
