Hi,
knowledge is probably not the right term to use here. From the point of
the software architecture a vehicle can get complete information about
the whole traffic network. The implemented models however make only
limited use of that. The car following model only uses the leading
vehicle but the lane changing and the junction model use more
information. The former about surrounding vehicles (leading, following
and neighboring on its own and adjacent lanes), the latter about all
possible conflicting vehicles approaching the same junction. Furthermore
the models also use aggregated data for instance lane occupancy (for
deciding which lane to use) or travel times (for routing).
